Our Journey Began with a Question

The path for UpStyled Goods & Lolo & Co began in 1992 with the formation of a family-owned contract cut and sew company, Trotters Sewing Company (TSC). Todd and Lori Trotter, second generation owners, always asked, "Why don't we make our own products?"

2020 wasn't the time

That one question led them to create ReTexstyled, an upcycled brand using their leftover fabrics and other textile supplies for their products. Their debut for the brand was to be in 2020, but a worldwide pandemic stopped everything...

2022 brings new hopes

In 2022, Todd and Lori revisited their hopes for ReTexstyled, and they began looking for a place to sell their products. A small salon building in Downtown Asheboro went up for sale, and with a push from their daughters, Shea, Emma and Annabeth, Todd and Lori took a big leap of faith and bought the building to house a retail space.

The Past & Future Merge

The family hired a local contractor, and renovations began. Business plans did not include a salon which was acquired with the building. But after researching the history of the building, and watching the community still come to their favorite cosmetologist during renovations made the Trotters change their mind.

The building was divided into two sections, and during renovations, two windows that had been bricked in were revived. Sunlight began to shine in new parts of the building, and a new glass door was added for the salon.

UpStyled Goods & UpStyled Salon opened in 2023. The Trotters and family manage operations, and Todd and Lori are finally making their own products.

A Rebranding, and Lolo & Co begins

UpStyled Goods celebrated two years of business in Oct. 2025 by celebrating with a rebranding. Lolo & Co, which stands for Loving Our LeftOver textiles (and Loving our Locals) was adopted. Product Collections include Lolo Table, Lolo Party, Lolo Tails and more to come!
